How to Delete a Snapchat Account
With the recent news that Snapchat was hacked and users' phone numbers retrieved, you may be considering deleting your account. Of course, Snapchat doesn't want you to do this, so they make finding the account deletion page a little difficult. See the article below to permanently delete your Snapchat account.
1. Open the Snapchat homepage. Use a web browser on your computer to open the Snapchat homepage. The account deletion tool is hidden deep in the Support section. You cannot delete an account from the mobile app.
2. Click the Support link. This is located at the bottom of the homepage, in the middle. You will be taken to the Support main menu.
3. Navigate to the account deletion page. Click the following links to access the account deletion page: "Learning the Basics" → "Account Settings" → "Delete an account". You will be asked to log in with your Snapchat account.
4. Enter your password again. In order to delete the account, you will need to enter your password one more time. Once you have entered your password, click the Delete My Account button. Deleting your account is irreversible.[1]
